one of those weeks

It's been one of those weeks where you swear if you have to deal with one more thing you are going to scream!  I have had to work on getting my heart right on lots of things- this week it has been pretty much everything!  I have had to remind myself to be thankful in all circumstances bc life could be so much worse and those silly daily things have just really gotten to me and as I type this I feel so silly about it, but I am still kinda irritated and just annoyed with so much....and at the same time feel guilty for evening complaining about things!  Ever have a day or week like that?  This post is just a reminder to put up this cute poem I found with some pics when I get time to load them and post!  Happy weekend!

Even these 2 were little rascals this week!

Luckily I have my husband who deals with my craziness!

Yes folks, this is what the kitchen and the rest of my house looked like- and if you know me, you know I would rather have teeth pulled! :)

But I did have a little helper when I was making those messes!

sock monkey sunday

I keep reminding myself that each day my little babies are growing and really, each day they do grow a teeny, tiny bit!  So this morning I got up and took a few pics of Gabe while he was fed and happy in his sock monkey hat before we went to church.  Don't worry folks, I have some pics and updates about Mr. Sam coming soon- that boy is just so busy I can't write it in a few sentences! :)-

Opps I did it again!

So remember my love of Pinterest? I made 3 more things in the past few days, totally neglecting laundry and love the outcome of them!  First I made some lemon cookies that had 3 ingredients- pretty tasty....then I made this cleaner that I pinned from my friend Jeannette- it was 2 things mixed in a bottle and it works pretty darn good!  Last, I made this wreath- I am using yellow in the kitchen I think when I am done with redoing it and I thought this would be fun- plus it is VCU colors- go Rams! : )  Ok, I think I need to go fold some laundry! :)

Pinterest Addict

Hi my name is Amy and I am a full blown Pinterest addict.  I discovered it this summer but never took the time to really figure it out, then a few weeks ago, I finally got inspired by a craft I saw and now I am hooked.  I have a love hate thing with it- I love all the tips and crafts and just plain fun stuff, but then I feel this urge to go to Hobby Lobby and buy things right away to re do the house!  It actually stresses me out! lol  Since we are re doing our downstairs, this comes at a good time for ideas, but a bad time bc I can't decide what I like the best.  So I have decided to pick one or  two things and try them out monthly.  So this month was inspired by Sam.  He says the silliest things.  The other night he look at me and said "are you potty trained?"  "Well as far as I know I am, Sam!"  Then he looked at Jarrett and said "and are you potty trained?"  Silly boy!  He is really big into doing what daddy does, so I took a nap and when Jarrett and Sam came to wake me up, both of them had goatees!  Sam's was drawn on by himself when daddy was on the computer- along with the rest of his body- and I am sure I will laugh at all of this one day! :)

So I found on Pinterest this cute way to quickly remember things they say and do.  You just take a jar, a pen and some paper and keep in a cabinet that you frequent.  Just write down the things they say and the date, and stick it in the jar!  I make photobooks after each birthday and the last page is things they like or said- but I can't remember half of them!  So I heart this idea!

3 months

My sweet baby is 3 months (well tomorrow he is) but since I have few quiet moments, I thought I would get my entry in now while the big man is asleep- that would be Sam since he seems so big now.  Gabe is just the best baby, and I know I say that all the time but his pregnancy was filled with anxiety.  I don't know why- maybe bc we had our house on the market and Jarrett works longer hours in the summer....and the fact that I had to pack up dogs, Sam, and clean our house almost on a daily basis for showings?  Maybe that had something to do with it.  I was worried about going from one child to two.  It was a struggle to get Sam in the car in a timely manner to get to places, how was I going to do it with 2?  Then I gave myself my dad's pep talk about how life could be a lot worse- and it sure could.  I was being blessed with another baby so I kept all that anxiety to myself on most days and enjoyed growing my lil man.

Dear Gabe,

You are 3 months old.  You finally smiled at us and now do it all the time!  You are so laid back and just go with the flow, you definetly got that from your dad.  I freak when there are dishes in the sink!  Don't worry I am working on that but it sure is hard!  You have really grown and now have rolls everywhere, never missing a meal- now that you got from me! :)  You wear 6 months clothing and I love dressing you- who says you can't have fun dressing little boys?  I found some of my favorite outfits Sam wore and hope you can too!  We are getting ready to leave you for a whole day and usually I am fine with having the break, but I am getting a little nervous and a little sad.  It is just a day, but I love my little guy and don't to be that far away from you! :)  It is for an important conference for church so I know you will be loved on at aunt Twyla's house!  We are working on tummy time- you don't hate it- you just lay your head down and look around that way instead of picking it up.....but you do have a big head to lift, full of brains! :)  We love you John Gabriel, can't wait to see what 4 months hold for you!

Smiles,
Mommy

Look how big Sam is!  And I used to take pictures of him in this chair! He is such a proud big bro!

                                     Getting used to the crib!
Love those sweet lips! :)  Good thing they are only for kissing his mama for the next 18 years! :)

My favorite things part 2

Big things are happening around the Wilson household!  Ok, not big things but a few things that I am enjoying!  We finished making the dining room into a playroom but I am determined to work my polka dots into the kitchen, which is our next room we are working on.  The new color in the kitchen is a blue and it is a fun color choice!  I got this new vase on sale at Target and it is super cute with the black and white.  I hope to get the kitchen done and then on to the den!!!  That of course will have to wait until we have the $$ to paint that!  So here are some of my new things!

I framed some of Sam's preschool art and put in $4 frames

And guess what!  I am officially selling Thirty-One!  This is my package and I have my first party booked.  For someone who HATES sales, I just love this stuff so I couldn't resist.  It fits me bc I love 3 things.... God, purses and organizing- so its a perfect match! :)

Who am I kidding, I couldn't resist adding a pic of my new lil man, he is just                           so happy!
