Halloween

So you know my favorite thing about October 31...its not Halloween, its that tomorrow, November 1st, I can say that Christmas is next month! I just love this time of year, craziness and all.  With little guys, it makes it more fun and this year all the upcoming events are just fun because little Gabe is here too!

We kept Halloween low key this year, went to visit family and went to a churches Trunk or Treat.  My big guy was a fireman and the little dude was his firehouse dalmation.  Love these two boys!

this month

This month has flown by!  I haven't added pics of some of the things we have been up to, but we sure have been busy with lots of fun things.  We went to the state fair, apple picking and this past weekend went to the pumpkin patch.  I love all these things, but hate that we have to squeeze them into one month!  However, that means closer to the holidays and I am really excited about that!

I am so thankful that we decided to go to pick apples on a weekday this year!  For the past several years we have gone to Carter Mountain to pick apples and get some apple cider donuts.  Last year it was insane and not worth traveling up the mountain to park far away and then stand in looonnnggg lines to pay for apples.  But today was great- nice weather and hardly no one there.  The only sad part was that since the place is so popular now, there were no apples to pick except on the tip top of the mountain- but with a wagon and 3 kiddos that wasn't happening!  So we took some pics, walked around, got our donuts and called it a day!  Sam's cousin Logan came with us which made him so excited and it was nice to have some pink around!

gabe {10 months}

October where did you come from?  My little boo has turned 10 months.  I love that I have a healthy baby boy who is growing like a weed, but it makes me a little sad too.  The second baby grows up so much faster!  Lots of changes for this little boy happened in the last month.

Dear Gabey,

10 months big boy!  This was a big month for you!  You started to crawl!  Just one day you went for a toy and kept going.  You already get on your knees so we had to lower the crib (which made you very, very mad). You grab everything- watch out sodas on the table when we go out to eat- you are gonna get knocked over!  You have 2 more teeth on the top coming in, but poor man, you have fallen and hit them 3 times already!  All those accidents are making me a tougher mama because you know me and blood, not a great pair.  You love Sam, I say that each time, but you get so excited to see him in the mornings and squeal when he talks to you.  You went to your first state fair and had a great time watching all the people and eating a little powdered sugar off the funnel cake.  You were there last year too, just still baking! :)  I think you are going to be a spunky little guy and I love how you seem to have a little spark hidden just waiting to come out.  Now, I wonder when you are going to walk little buddy?
I can't wait to see you in your Halloween costume!
