Next month, my big boy is turing 4, and I know in a few years, that will seem so little....but lately, he is looking so big to us. I can't believe that I have been a mama for almost 4 years now! Sam is such a sweet boy, he is so excited for the smallest things in life and that might be teaching me a lesson or 2!
Dear Sam,
Next month you are turning 4 so this is my last little letter to you as a 3 year old. 3 was a big year for both of us- sometimes I was (and still am) completely puzzled by what makes you tick. One day you are so obedient, listening and going with the flow and the next day, life is tough for you and we struggle to find ways to make our day run smooth. I know, putting shoes on sometimes can seen like the longest task ever! You really have such a kind heart, waiting for others, wondering how others are feeling, making people laugh. I pray that you always know that being kind is far more important than being first, last, popular, or smart- you get my drift. Sometimes you say things that make us wonder if we really have an older child trapped in a 3 year old body. Everyone thinks you are about 5, but you are just our football player in waiting!
Currently you and your Papa have such a great friendship. You and him are quite the pair. You spend hours at the train station watching trains and learning about them. So glad you have each other because I don't know if I could sit and wait for those trains!
I am trying to convince you to have a super hero birthday party, but I think you are gonna win with Toy Story. I am going to have to settle for the new pictures I took of you- thanks for going along with it. It was fun while it lasted to do my own themes! Until next month. Love you super hero.
