Not much to report on the Wilson front this week, but lately a few of the blogs I read or see on Facebook from others are people who have just lost their child or they have an illness that requires so much time and attention. I took the boys today for their 3 year old and 6 month old check ups. (Please excuse the repeat if you are a Facebook friend cause I post some of the same stuff there too)!
I used to take Sam to the dr's and not really think anything of it when we left that I was leaving with a healthy baby. But today, when the doctor said " I think we are all done, everyone looks good, everyone is perfect!" I wanted to stop and tell God "thanks" because when we pray over our kids, sometimes I think "sure, HE is listening when there are wars going on other places." But God is good and both of my 98% for head size boys are perfect and I am SOOOOO thankful for that. :)

6 months
Someone hit their 1/2 birthday! Isn't it strange to think that babies live their first year in terms of months? Gabe is getting to such a fun stage. He grabs for toys now, eats a little baby food, and smiles at all of us all the time, such a happy guy!
Dear Gabe,
You are 6 months little buddy! I love you at this age. You are so cute and laugh now at funny faces or sounds. You love your exersaucer and have enough control over your head and arms so you can really play with things and stare at things to figure out how they work. You tried rice cereal, carrots, squash, peas, and sweet potatoes! I snuck some apples and peaches in there too before I remembered to give veggies first! You are so sweet and such a good boy at church. You haven't gone to the nursery yet bc you need to nap and I don't want Ms. Pat to feel overwhelmed having you and all the other cuties in there.
You roll over with ease now but don't like waking up on your tummy. I got your 6 month portraits done and I can't wait to see how they turned out (but not looking forward to paying for the nice big picture that I want for our "someday" house!) I love it when you grab your big brothers face and squeal- I sure hope you both will be best buddies. Now let's see what the next 6 months have in store for us!
