A little behind, but Gabe is was a month old on the 7th. Which happened to be my 33rd birthday! And when did I get to be 33? Yikes! Not that it is old, but I just feel like I am not old enough to have a house and 2 kids! Anyway, I have lots of updates and pictures, but I don't forsee that happening anytime so here are some snapshots of the last few weeks. I think that I am going to try writing a little note to Gabe each month so I can remember some of the things that you want to remember but with time forget!

Dear Gabe,
You are 1 month old today and you are such a sweet baby! You only cry when you are hungry which is every 2 hours and you love to be held, but are content hanging out in your seat just looking around. It is amazing how much you have changed in the last month- you are awake more, your hair is lighter and you have grown to be over 10lbs now! I wonder if you are going to be a big guy like your big brother, Sam? I feel so lucky to be your mom, I hope I do a good job! I love to snuggle with you and enjoy this time, it goes by so fast! Sam loves you too, he isn't jealous and really gentle with you- making sure you have your paci every time he walks by you and lets me know if you are crying. I have lots of dreams for you, but each night your daddy prays over you and asks for you to have favor with others, to have health, and to grow into being a man of God- I think he is doing a good job so far! We are looking forward to your first smile and if your Nonnie were here she would eat you up! Your Papa loves to look at you- he still is scared to hold little babies, but before long you will be joining him and big brother at the park and Monkey Joes for your Wednesday playdates! We love you very much!
Love, Mommy

What a beautiful letter to your little man, you are amazing parents!
ReplyDeleteAmy, Gabe is precious and Sam looks so much like a little boy (no baby left in him). I cannot wait to hold that little one, so you have got to stop him from getting any bigger until we can get together. Love this post - it's beautiful.
ReplyDeletePrecious! Love his one month growth chart! And the pic of him sitting next to his elephant!! So...your song above, bushel and a peck...that was the lullaby nonnie sang us and that I sang to the kids. Is that yalls song too??
ReplyDeleteI just loved the lyrics to it so I thought I would change it up a bit. Need a new name for the blog too- any suggestions? :)
