The Wilson's

The Wilson's

2.14.2012

2 months

I have lots of little updates, but of course I have to post pics of my lil man first!  Being a mama to two boys is busy, but I love it.  The house is always noisy- except during nap time when I update my blog!  It just makes things more happy- like today- Valentines Day- I got them cute little shirts and Sam and I made "projects"- his class cards.  It was fun to get the cookies ready for his teachers and decorate the house with cute red and pink stuff.  Maybe I am a big dork, ok I know I am a big dork, but I just love doing stuff like that with my kiddos.   Anyway, Gabe turned 2 months and time goes by way to fast for babies, I want him to stay little and snuggly for a little bit longer!

Before I write my lil guy his 2 month note, some updates on the other cute Wilson's.  Jarrett amazes me with his growth in his faith.  The church we have been attending has really helped both of us grow into having better relationship with God, but it also has helped remind us to cherish our marriage, our kids, and our blessings-which is hard sometimes when things get tough or you are dealt a load of crap for a better term!  I hope we can inspire others to trust God.  I have no idea where my place is in ministry, but I hope to figure that out one day soon!  I am just proud of the husband and his commitment to us, his family, and making changes in his life that are hard to do!

We took our house off the market bc of Gabe's upcoming arrival and now we have just decided to stay here.  Our house fits us, we just really want to one day step onto our deck and see lots of trees and land! It will happen, just not now.  So we are re doing the house- new paint, I am shopping in our attic for things and am really excited about having a new and fresh house! :)

Sam is still a busy little boy.  He has the biggest heart and the biggest stubborn streak- great combo huh? His teachers at school tell me almost weekly that he is such a good boy and asks permission to do things before doing them, makes sure kids who cry are ok, and he is a great cleaner! :) At home, he says some pretty funny things- the other day he informed me that you should say "dag-gone-it" when you are frustrated, you are not supposed to say "damn it"....he was waiting for a time to use that phrase and not get into trouble.  We do frequent hiney pops and time out these days, but I remind myself that this to shall pass- when he is 18!  He loves being a big brother and it is like he has had Gabe here all along, not issues with being jealous or mad he gave his room up for him- thank goodness for that!  I got a hair cut, exciting right?  I want nice long hair, but have come to the conclusion that a shorter stacked hair cut is probably what I am going to have until I am 80, but I am ok with that- I kinda like when people stop me in a store and ask who cuts my hair. :)

Dear Gabe,

You are 2 months old!  You are still such a sweet boy, very laid back.  You love your pacis and looking at the blinds and ceiling fan- exciting stuff!  Poor guy, your first shots were not fun- 4 of them and you cried the whole next night when you moved or we picked you up.  We felt so bad for you. :(   Some of the ladies at church love you and want to hold you when we go to our Growing Kids class on Wednesdays- I think you make them feel happy!  You still like to eat every 2 hours but I am ok with that because I like seeing my scale going down thanks to you liking to eat so often.  You weighed 11.14lbs and you have grown almost 2 inches since you were born!  You have SOOOO many clothes that I have to change your clothes lots so you can wear them all at least once!  We are planing your baby dedication soon and we are excited to stand up and let others know how thankful we are for you!  Thanks for being such a snuggly boy, you look so cute on your first Valentines' Day!

Love your mama :)
