1st birthday

One year ago, Jarrett had the day off and we went to find some Christmas lights for yet another one of his light projects.  Who knew that hours later we would be having our second baby!  I really can't believe that a year has gone by.  I know that I say that I am so sad that Gabe is growing up but it means that we have a healthy, growing boy and that is a precious gift!

Dear Gabe,

Happy 1st birthday!  It has been such a fun year.  I really have enjoyed watching you grow and since I have been able to spend lots of time with you, I think we are a good pair!  You are such a sweet boy and I hope that you always will be.  Now, as for having a little temper and wanting what you want immediately, we can work on that.  You have been such an easy baby (except for sleeping all night until a few weeks ago)- but I will take it!  I wish so much for you..... Both daddy and I pray that you grow up strong and healthy, learn to love the Lord, show others kindness, be of wisdom, be a leader, and that you always come home to your momma!  You are growing up on us little guy!

*you have been eating table food and eating with us for dinner

* no more formula- all milk now

* you stand and get from one place to another pretty fast

* you clap now and laugh so hard at Sam

* I think you are going to be our climber....so many tempting things!

* you made it up the stairs before I noticed! yikes!

We are so happy that you are our little boy and if its ok, I am still going to say our little baby for a tiny bit longer.  Happy 1st birthday John Gabriel!
