I am excited, I have been totally into being thrifty since I started to stay at home and wonder why I haven't lived like this for longer than that. Yes, I miss going to Starbucks just cause and putting those darn cute things at Target in my bin- can't remember what they were but I just know at the time I had to have them! So, in an effort to make our bedroom more fun and grown up and just a more pulled together look, I got thrify. I read a lot of decorating blogs and then my brain gets ful of about a bazillion things I want to do. So, for all the excitement, here is what I did! First, I got mula (that is money in my spanish) from my papa lew- my dad- for my bday to get a bedspread. After looking and looking, I just didn't feel excited about one. Then one day I saw one on a decorator blog and she got it at Target- yay! Then, it was on clearance when I went to get it!!! SCORE! So I used the other bit of money for some cute throw pillows at Home Goods and a cute wrought iron scroll thing at Hobby Lobby (love) to put over the bed. Got some $5 baskets and used a giftcard courtesy of the husband for some paint at Lowes. We moved the furniture around, cleaned the room- baseboards and all, slapped up the paint and then I got all the picture frames I had around the house and matted and frames some black and white pics! The room redo was around $100 total bc of all my savings and giftcards too! I love how it looks and it is more spacious. Nothing fancy but I like it! I used the same curtains, lamps and storage bins from my old room-viola!!! Now on to figure out what to do on our staircase! OMG, did you need a play by play?
